With COVID still having a real impact on the season and on the NBA as a whole, we were tasked with producing a commercial that showcased how the Thunder were bringing the NBA back in a big way in OKC. They came to us asking the question: “How do we show how fun the experience is in the arena and remind people of why they love it, while staying COVID safe?”
Our solution was to show a diverse group of fans safely enjoying the experience of the arena. With the backwards compatibility of changing the ad down the road just in case COVID cases got out of hand. We shot every scene in three ways: No masks, with masks, and staff only masks. Ensuring that we had full flexibility in post to adapt to the changing world and safety concerns. We showcased contactless forms of payment for tickets, gear, and snacks. Creating an ad that is mindful of the ways the Thunder is making the fan experience safe and fun.
