Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Specialist role is responsible for selling Flight’s services by identifying leads, educating prospects on services through phone calls, meetings, email, and presentations. This is a salaried position with commissions from successful sales. We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of strong customer service and has a knack for closing deals. Business Development Specialist is highly collaborative role, working with all departments to produce accurate and timely estimates. Business Development Specialist is a natural communicator, excelling at both leading and listening while conversing. 


  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on Flight services
  • Track all sales activity in Flight’s CRM system and project management system
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and clients
  • Meet and/or exceed quotas
  • Create estimates with the necessary departments based on the prospect’s needs
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize sales efforts
  • Seek out opportunities to grow Flight’s reach in new markets


  • 4-6 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to negotiate 
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent customer service / interpersonal skills
  • Willing to learn


  • Agency experience
  • Experience in design, filmmaking, paid and organic media, web development
  • Copywriting experience
  • Experience using Proposify
  • Knowledge of EOS


  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • May be required to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time
